The Company was incorporated on 5 December 2011 under the name of ‘’A. Panayiotou & P. Prodromides Ltd’’ and on 30th September 2015 changed its name to “Andreas Panayiotou (Auditors) Ltd’’. On 1 January 2012 took over the business of the sole practitioner Andreas Panayiotou. Andreas Panayiotou had been either a partner or a sole practitioner for over 35 years operating from Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus.

Andreas Panayiotou (Auditors) Ltd, is offering a full range of professional services such as audit and assurance, taxation, financial advisory and business support services to clients. Our firm comprises a team of qualified, high caliber individuals, members of leading professional bodies of accountants, with years of experience in the fields of compliance, audit, tax and advisory services.

Directors

Maria Savva – FCCA

Maria Savva completed in 2004 a four-year degree in Accounting and Finance at University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece. She then worked in this firm for a year before she employed as a permanent officer at the Department of Lands and Surveys as from April 2006. In January 2009, she resigned from the Government job and returned to this office and worked in the audit department as a trainee accountant. She completed her ACCA exams in 2013 and became an ACCA member in the same year. In 2016 she obtained a Practising Certificate and Audit Qualification from both ICPAC and ACCA.

During her career in this firm she was involved in various accounting and audit assignments by performing the audit of various local companies in accordance with appropriate financial reporting standards. She has gained an all-round experience in dealing with various tax matters such as income tax returns for individuals and companies, provisional and self-assessments for individuals and companies and the preparation of capital statements.

She was appointed a Director of the Company on the 10th of March 2016.
Maria Savva took over the Management of the Company on 1st January 2020.

Despo Savva – FCCA

Despo Savva, in January 2005, completed a two-year course in Business Administration, with concentration in Accounting, at the Cyprus College in Nicosia, Cyprus. In December 2005 she completed the exams of the Certified Accounting Technician course.

She completed her ACCA exams in June 2014 and became an ACCA member in the same year. In 2019 she obtained a Practising Certificate and Audit Qualification from both ICPAC and ACCA. In 2019 also became an FCCA member.

Despo Savva was employed in this firm in 2009 as a trainee accountant. During her career in this firm she was involved in various accounting and audit assignment by performing the audit of various local companies in accordance with appropriate financial reporting standards.

She was appointed a Director of the Company on the 10th of June 2019.

Andreas Panayiotou – FCCA

Andreas Panayiotou completed in 1971 a two year full time course in Business Administration at a college in London. He then joined Thomas Cook and worked in the accounts department as a trainee accountant registering at the same time as an ACCA student. In 1973 he joined a middle size firm of Auditors in London. He completed his ACCA exams in 1975 and became an ACCA member in the same year. He worked in practicing firms in London until 1978. During his career in London he gained an all round experience in audit, taxation and management consultancy.

In 1978 he moved to Cyprus and on the 1st January 1979 he joined a sole practitioner forming the firm Papademetriou and Panayiotou. On the 1st of January 2000 he started his own office. On 1st January 2012 the business was taken over by the newly formed company.

In Cyprus, he dealt with all aspects of a practice, including audit, taxation, consultancy in business management, company law and legal matters, dealing with the personnel of the practice and also assisting in recruiting personnel for clients’ accounts departments. Andreas Panayiotou served for over fifteen years in the Taxation Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Cyprus (ICPAC), two years as a secretary.

Andreas Panayiotou retired on 31st December 2019.
